Doctor Who icon Sophie Aldred launches a brand-new, galaxy-hopping podcast adventure: Ace Odyssey — a weekly dive into fandom, creativity, and the people who make pop culture extraordinary. Aboard her spaceship, the Nosferatu 2.5, Sophie is joined by;
· Hobbes, a clockwork butler with the heart of a neutron star (James Showers)
· Mrs C, a telepathic East End goldfish whose psychic water links to the Ffantaface, a dimension containing all fan knowledge
· And the eccentric, half-haunted Time Scoop, which snatches guests from Earth for conversation
Season One features a stellar lineup including Sylvester McCoy, Katy Manning, Susan Twist, Janet Fielding, Sally Knyvette, Nicholas Briggs, David Banks, all with stories to tell, and many others — including writers, directors, and creatives whose love of Doctor Who became their careers.
The podcast launches on November 23rd 2025, Doctor Who’s 62nd Anniversary, at 5.15pm with Sylvester McCoy arriving on board the ship and, as an extra treat in lieu of the traditional Doctor Who Christmas Special, there’s a festive edition of Sophie Aldred’s Ace Odyssey on Christmas Eve at 7pm, a ghost story for Christmas… on a spaceship, starring Sophie and many familiar faces from the worlds of Doctor Who.
