Premiering on ITVX and YouTube later this year, Play Time sees the participants enter a local primary school where they are challenged to create and perform an original stage play that's based entirely on the ideas of a group of 6 to 8 year-old school children.
The comedians, including Bec Hill and Cariad Lloyd must use whatever characters, settings, stories and catchphrases the children come up with to quickly turn them into a play that they then perform on the school stage for all of the children and their family and friends.
The commission is part of ITV's Fresh Cuts strand and will be included in the schedule for Disability History Month (14th November to 20th December). The comedians involved are a neurodiverse group and the 22 minute episode sees them visit Oakham Primary School in Tividale, West Midlands, where many of the children featured are from the school's S.E.N.D. department.
Play Time will premiere on ITVX and ITV's YouTube channel later this year.
