Set in London in the summer of 1983, the play follows Nick Guest as he moves into the Notting Hill home of his university friend Toby. There he becomes entangled in the world of Toby’s father Gerald, a newly elected Conservative MP, along with Gerald’s wife Rachel and daughter Cat. As Nick navigates political dinners, country estates and private parties, he finds himself caught between desire, class and public image in a rapidly shifting Britain.
