Adam Buxton: I Love You, Byeee

Artists

The writer and comedian introduces his memoir about growing up, growing old and figuring it all out at The Southbank Centre on Sunday October 26th.

In I Love You, Byeee, Buxton explores the joys of comedy, and the book is cut through with many of his hilarious trademark asides, but it’s also remarkably tender and thoughtful.

It’s a memoir that doesn’t shy away from the difficulties of navigating adulthood, losing loved ones and working out how to be a parent.

Buxton also talks about his new album Buckle Up, a collection of 14 songs about everything from whether a middle-aged man should be wearing shorts, to accepting who and what you are.

With his ear for amusing instrumentation, as evidenced by decades of jingles for his shows, the songs are about more than they seem to be.

This will contain material related to I Love You, Byeee, but maybe Adam will have some of his music pals along to help him sing one or two songs from his album, Buckle Up too.
